to Miranda Magpies Netball
As one of the founding members of the Sutherland Shire Netball
Association, we have been actively involved in women's sports
since the early 1960's, when the club was formed as part of
the Miranda Magpies Sports Club. Our Club aims to help promote
a healthy lifestyle, friendship creation and team spirit through
netball.
Magpies would like to remind all our club members and their spectators to enjoy the games they participate in, by showing respect for all players, the umpires that enable the game to be played and the coaches and managers that give up their time for our wonderful sport!

Junior: Saturday 20th September from 9.30am to 12noon, in the SSNA stadium at Bellingarra for a BBQ Brunch, please forward Attendance numbers to Gayle at aabalode@bigpond.net.au asap so we can order for catering.
UMPIRING NEWS:
WELL DONE ELIZABETH RANGI ON ACHIEVING HER NATIONAL B THIS YEAR, THIS IS A CREDIT TO ELIZABETH AND HER UMPIRING COACHES!
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LATEST NATIONAL "C" UMPIRES LARISSA BICKERSTAFFAND JAMIE - LEE WOOD, THEY ACHIEVED THIS HIGH LEVEL IN JUNE THIS SEASON!
WE EXPECT THAT WE WILL HAVE MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS EARLY IN 2009, AS MANY OF OUR UMPIRES ARE WORKING HARD TO ACHIEVE THEIR BADGES!
Congratulations to Kate Cameron on passing the Section 2 National Exam - one of only two who sat the exam that passed, this is a very high exam for umpiring and is required to get the AA level in umpiring (90% is required to pass), Kate will be attempting to attain her National A umpire level.
Wonderful News: Our own Kate Cameron and Taren pt's Julienne Lock, were invited by Netball Australia, to umpire the National Championships in Perth in April 2008, a great honour and achievement, congratulations to both!
